Horoscope for July 8 – July 14

Thursday, July 8th, 2010

______________________________________________________

Planetary Transits for July 8 – July 14

Note: There is a total solar eclipse on July 11; Rahu and Ketu are stationary; and in the USA chart, the sixth ruler (Jupiter) is aspecting the third ruler (Mercury). This can be a time of great stress. Take care of your family, do not take risks, and reduce travel exposure. Focus on rest, charities, patience, and spirituality.

____________________________________________________________________________________

Sun transits Gemini, from 21:56 to 28:37°. The total solar eclipse on July 11 can only be seen in the South Pacific.  Greatest eclipse occurs at 7:33 p.m. UT (2:33 p.m. CDT).

Moon transits Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, and into Leo. Moon, in Taurus, is exalted July 8 – 9. The new Moon is in Gemini, July 11.

Mars transits Leo, from 23:03 to 27:08° and is outside the orb of influence of other planets.

Mercury transits Cancer, from 03:05 to 16:12° and is under the aspect of

Jupiter, July 9 – 13. Taurus, Cancer, and Capricorn rising sign persons, companies, and countries (including USA – where there can be major conflict, financial issues, fire, theft, and accidents) should be careful and patient.

Jupiter transits its own sign, Pisces, from 09:00 to 09:16°and is under the wide aspect of Saturn. These are the sixth and eighth rulers in the USA chart. The influence will be severe in August. (Take care of your family, and be careful and patient this summer.)

Venus transits Leo, from 03:25 to 11:16° and is outside the orb of influence of other planets.

Saturn transits Virgo, from 05:02 to 05:30°. Note: In the USA horoscope, the Deepwater Horizon oil (Saturn) problem began when transit Rahu and Ketu were closely afflicting their natal positions. The prolonged effect is likely due to the mutual aspect between the sixth and eighth rulers, Jupiter and Saturn. Unfortunately, these two slow-moving planets remain under each other’s influence until Sept. 8th.  The impact in August is exceptionally severe.

Rahu and Ketu transit Sagittarius and Gemini, respectively, in the 17-degree range until August 23. This is serious for persons, companies, and countries with odd rising signs (Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius) from 16-18 degrees; and for those with planets in odd signs from 16-18 degrees, (including the USA). Be extra careful and patient.

Planets in Pisces – Your Sensitive Spots

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

Whenever a planet is in the touchy sign Pisces it is reinforced,
but not necessarily in a good way. Emotions rule this sign so there
will seem to be more drama in the area of the chart ruled by
Pisces. It may be an area where we take things harder or more
personally or where we tend to be more devoted or obsessive.  When
planets land in this sign they tend to be shiftier; demonstrating
the dual nature of their attributes and negative qualities
sometimes simultaneously.

A person with a sun in Pisces is the ultimate yes man. They seem to
agree with everyone they meet.   Yet secretly, inside they seethe
with resentment and also confusion, as even they don’t understand
how they are motivated by a need to be approved by anyone. A Pisces
sun native finds it hard to take a strong stand about anything.
This is why they are often accused of being two faced – they will
change their opinion if it means a pet on the head. The ultimate
narcissists, people with the Sun in Pisces are very obsessed with
their own image and do best with someone who is also prepared to be
obsessed with them. However they are also blessed with a great
understanding of human nature and emotions in a way that other sun
signs aren’t. It can also indicate great spirituality or
self-sacrifice.

Famous individuals with the Sun in Pisces include the suicidal Kurt
Cobain, sex symbol Sharon Stone, navel gazing George Harrison, boy
toy Cindy Crawford and terrorist Osama Bin Laden.

A person with the Moon in Pisces is going to be a moody and needy
individual. Usually this manifests in a life filled with poverty,
misunderstandings and addictions. Sometimes the austerity of this
placement manifests as a desire to follow a religious path in which
the self is sacrificed in the name of being charitable to others.
These individuals tend to be quite kind yet they can be completely
smothering and unreasonably jealous in a relationship.

Well-known people with this placement include many moody eccentrics
including Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Prince and
Winona Ryder.

If you have Mercury in Pisces you probably have the makings of
great poet or artists. Your memory is photographic and you can also
recall conversations and situations from the past in great detail.
Writing is definitely also a strong suit. A drawback of this
placement is that sometimes you tend to get stuck in the far past,
even wearing an outfit that was once fashionable decades ago every
day.

Talented individuals with this placement include a couple of very
eccentric dressers including Elton John, Justin Timberlake, Fergie
and Lucy Lawless.

If you have Venus in Pisces you are very emotional and probably cry
at the drop of a hat. Theses individuals can be very sensitive and
artistically expressive. Many great actors and actresses have this
placement as it is so emotive. A drawback of this placement however
is selfishness and narcissism as well as a tendency to be irritable
and manipulative.  It is easy for this type to use their looks to
get ahead in life.

Good-looking types with this placement include Michelle Pfeiffer,
Ewan McGregor, Penelope Cruz, Shannen Doherty and Tom Selleck.

If you have Mars in the watery sign of  Pisces then fiery Mars is
not a happy camper. The aggression that would normally go into
physical activity is funneled into the imagination causing a
personality that is hot tempered and also somewhat divorced from
reality. A person with placement might also constantly appear
fatigued or very lazy as they do not feel like working much.
Misunderstandings with others are frequent. This type is often
unable to articulate or go after his or her desires thanks to
psychological blocks that prevent them from moving forward.

This placement includes quite a few celebrities with “issues”
including Marilyn Monroe, Vincent Van Gogh, Tina Turner, Burt
Reynolds and Lisa Marie Presley.

If you have Jupiter in Pisces then you are likely to be a great
artist, particularly in the areas of performance, music or writing.
You are likely to be a great humanitarian and enjoy doing things on
a large scale. Your passions are most likely in the area of
culture, religion, archeology and anthropology. Many historians
also have this placement which helps a person see the “big picture”
easier than most.

Lucky individuals with this placement include some powerful big
players such as Tom Cruise, Michael Jordan and Jodie Foster in the
present and Leonardo Da Vinci, Abraham Lincoln and Sigmund Freud in
the past.

Saturn is not happy in the sign of Pisces. A person with this
placement may not be able to function in reality without
self-medicating somehow with some kind of habit. These individuals
tend to be very fragile and insecure and feel safest when their
mind is set free in the realm of imagination. For many of these
restricted unlucky individuals, day-to-day life often feels like
and often is a prison.

Individuals with this placement also tend to be unlucky in love as
is demonstrated by many well-known people with it such as Halle
Barry, Elizabeth Hurley, Keanu Reeves and Courtney Love.

Uranus in Pisces is likely to guarantee the owner with a large and
vibrant imagination however there may be few opportunities in life
for the individual to put his or her brilliant ideas into action.
These characters tend to be rebellious or resent authority just for
the heck of it.  Sometimes they inspire a revolution if the
astrology is right. The last time Uranus was in Pisces was in the
1920s and 1930s when there was very little that could be done to
solve the problems of the prohibition and the Great Depression.

Rebels and loners with this placement include and have included
Marlon Brando, Nostradamus and Cardinal Richelieu, as well as some
feisty women such as Margaret Thatcher, Ava Gardner and Evita Peron.

If you have Neptune in Pisces then the planet is said to be exalted
but the result might be a little bit of overkill. This combination
creates an idealist that is so “holy” or so “spiritual” that he or
she rarely gets anything done. This type of person tends to not
resist events but instead go with the flow. Ambitions and goals may
seem shallow to this individual who is rarely motivated by material
concerns.

Neptune has not been in Pisces for a while but many individuals who
did have this were visionaries with somewhat sad lives and included
Oscar Wilde, Nikola Tesla, Rudolph Steiner, Ivan The Terrible and
Anton Chekhov.

If you have Pluto in Pisces then you are looking at a recipe for
escapism. When it occurs individually in a chart it creates an
individual that cannot bear reality and must find some form of
entertainment or addiction to allay the pain of experiencing
consciousness.  These individuals are also often compulsive and
fantasize to the point of obsession.  The last time Pluto
influenced a large number of people was in the early 1800s when the
industrial revolution and disease caused a kind of hell on earth.
This will not happen again until 2043 when drug addiction is likely
to be a really big problem in society.

Individuals with Pluto in Pisces included William Shakespeare,
Victor Hugo, Richard Wagener, George Sand, Edgar Allan Poe and
Charles Darwin.
