Dream Analysis
Sunday, May 23rd, 2010Dreams are a fascinating subject and it is clear that there are hidden messages in dreams.
For some it is not difficult to recall their dreams at all. There are highly skilled dreamers who have very good memory and have the power to recall each part of a dream in detail. There are also dreamers who have little or no recall of their dreams. There has been a lot of research and study done to help people to remember their dreams. Nothing is more frustrating than to wake up and know that you were involved in a colorful, complex dream but can not remember!
Having a pen and some note paper at your bedside helps greatly. Take the time to write every detail you recall as soon as possible.
Often enough, when you go to bed and tell yourself that when you dream that you will remember it. When you wake up then keep quiet lie still for a few moments. Do not immediately start “thinking” but take a few moments and recall what you’ve dreamed of. Just write that down and continue with your daily routine.
The “conscious mind” is able to store a dream very quickly. Symbolic images help you remember what is stored. This is why it’s important to write it down while you still have access to that memory. Sometimes a dream can be forgotten and then something happens which reminds you that dream immediately.
The study of dreams is a deep and compelling topic. There are very skilled analysts who specialize in this. Constant repetition of the same dream, repeated parts of a dream and dreams that may represent future events are best discussed with a professional adviser who can give an interpretation of important information you might be receiving.
The topic of dreams opens a wide range of study. Freud considered dreams as an expression of wishes that mix old and new memories with situations in your life. Jung has suggested that in some dreams we are open to archetypes. These are not personal from your “unconscious mind” but from the “collective spirit”.
There are 10 sources of dreams:
-
Dreams based upon brain activity
-
Dreams of remembrance
-
Dreams that are recollections of true activity
-
Dreams that are of a mental nature
-
Dreams that are records of work done
-
Telepathic Dreams
-
Dreams that are dramatizations by the soul
-
Dreams concerned with group work
-
Dreams that are records of instruction
-
Dreams that are connected with the world plan
It is also possible that a person has dreams over a period of a few weeks which are different but when they are analysed they contain the same message. Let’s put it this way: if you ignore the message or you can not quite grasp the meaning you get another dream in order for you to comprehend the message that is being given.
All through the ages dreams have evaded, fascinated and and intrigued humankind. There are predictive, lucid and high dreams. Astral activities can take place in dreams as well. While the physical body is asleep, the “unconscious mind” is relaxed and our being is moving rapidly through the night to the wonders of the universe to play, solve, let go and explore.
If you would like me to interpret a dream for you then I will gladly do so.Try to write down what you remember about that dream. For example things, places, colors, smells, how things felt. It’s not a problem if you can’t really sting a sentence together or make a story of what you recall but try to give me as much detail as you can recall. After all something that may seem too insignificant to mention may have a greater meaning. This information that you provide will form the basis for the dream analysis I will write for you.
